Collection: Lehmann wine glasses

The wine glasses by Lehmann come from Reims and are developed together with sommeliers. You can tell from the shape of the bowl: every model is drawn around a type of wine rather than around a size. The wider bowls give red wine room to open up, the narrower ones keep the freshness and fruit of a white wine together.

The crystal is lead-free and clear, and stays that way after years of use. The handmade ranges are mouth-blown, with a rim so thin the glass all but disappears against your lip and the wine arrives first. That is not a detail: the less you notice the glass, the more attention goes to the wine. The machine-blown models are considerably sturdier, made for daily use and for the trade, where they have to survive a dishwasher.

The stems are drawn rather than attached, so there is no seam between bowl and stem. That looks calmer and is less prone to breaking at exactly the point where glasses usually give way.
