  • Indruk

Light copper color with fine bubbles. The nose is ripe with aromas of yellow fruit, dried fruit, and forest floor. A true sensation of red fruit, such as cherry, on the palate. Beautifully structured and full-bodied. A Champagne with character. The ideal partner for any occasion; suitable as an aperitif, but also delicious with drinks or, for example, with a mushroom dish. Think of a bitterbal or mushroom risotto.

    Serve between 8 and 10°C.
Store in a cool, dark place.
  • Productieproces

Both the cuvée and the taille are used for this Champagne. The first 20.5 hectoliters from the press is the purest juice, high in sugar and acidity. It gives the blend greater freshness and subtle aromas. To give the blend more depth, the taille juice (juice from the second pressing of 5 hectoliters) is added. This juice contains more color and adds intense aromas. Approximately 20% of the wines are aged in oak barrels, 13% in concrete, and 67% in stainless steel, after which they are blended and bottled. The wine then ages on lie in the bottle for an average of 16 months.

What is Blanc de Noirs Champagne?

Blanc de Noirs means "white from black grapes" and is made exclusively from Pinot Noir and/or Pinot Meunier. Despite the dark grapes, the champagne has a light color because the juice is pressed directly without maceration. Blanc de Noirs champagnes are often fuller, more powerful, and richer in flavor, with notes of red fruit, spices, and a creamy texture.

What is Extra Brut Champagne?

Extra Brut Champagne contains even less sugar than Brut, between 0 and 6 grams per liter. This results in an extra-dry style with pure, pronounced flavors. Extra Brut is popular with connoisseurs who appreciate a clean, mineral champagne with plenty of freshness.

Why aren't Champagnes filtered?

Champagnes are not filtered to preserve their refined aromas and complex flavors. During the traditional méthode champenoise, the wine undergoes natural clarification, during which yeast cells slowly break down (autolysis), contributing to a rich mouthfeel and elegant bubbles. Instead of filtration, the sediment is carefully removed through remuage and disgorgement, so the champagne retains its pure expression without losing delicate aromas. This process creates a champagne with greater depth, balance, and finesse.
