Productinformatie
The Hera 39 is a slender, universal glass from L'Intense, the range by Lehmann and Fabrice Sommier. Lehmann recommends it for champagne, for white wine and rosé, and for red wine. It is the smaller version of the Bacchus 55: the same angular shape, but holding 39 cl, with a bowl 84 mm wide. Right at the bottom of the bowl, in its tip, you will find a sparkling point. That is where the bubbles form, rising in a fine bead.
The glass is 218 mm tall, about the same height as the Hadrien 45, but a good deal slimmer. At its widest point the bowl turns at an angle. Below it, the bowl runs down to the stem in a V-shape. Above it, the sides rise straight up and narrow towards the rim. A 10 cl pour comes up to about the level of that angle, which is just how Lehmann intended the bowl to be used. The bowl rests on a reinforced 6 mm stem, and the Hera carries the Lehmann signature.

The L'Intense collection
Fabrice Sommier is a sommelier and Meilleur Ouvrier de France. With him, Lehmann developed the Signature line L'Intense. As a sommelier, Sommier looks above all at what food and wine do for each other, and at the moments you share at the table. Lehmann's 2026 catalogue lists the Hera as new, as it does the larger Bacchus 55. For white wine and rosé, the line also has the Vénus.
Care
The glass is dishwasher safe, preferably on a glassware programme. Washing by hand in hot water without detergent gives the finest result. Dry with a microfibre cloth and never twist the foot and the bowl in opposite directions, or the stem will snap.
About Lehmann
Lehmann is a house from Reims, in the heart of Champagne, specialising in wine and champagne glasses. Its collections are conceived and designed in Reims, the Signature lines in collaboration with sommeliers and chefs. The glass itself is made by selected glassworks within the European Union, and all its tasting glasses are made of cristallin, lead-free crystal. On the machine-blown lines the rim is cold-cut. According to Lehmann, this produces a strong glass that stands up to daily use and still comes close to the finesse of mouth-blown crystal.
