Champagne Bolieu is a family estate in Bassuet, situated in the exclusive Coteaux Vitryats wine region, a hidden gem in Champagne with just 480 hectares of vineyards. Laurence and Charles Baffard have been at the helm of the estate since 1998, transforming it into a truly exceptional producer with dedication, precision, and a deep respect for nature and the grape.

The terroir of the Coteaux Vitryats is exceptional. After replanting in the 1960s, following the devastating phylloxera plague, the vines were planted exclusively on the mid-slopes, in plots with a southerly exposure. The subsoil consists of millions of years old Turonic limestone mixed with layers of clay; a formation similar to that of the Côte des Blancs, but with greater depth and warmth. This unique composition gives the wines of Bolieu their characteristic exotic fruit notes and layered minerality.
