In the tranquil Baslieux-sous-Châtillon region, where the clay and marl soils of the Vallée de la Marne radiate warmth and depth, Liébart-Régnier creates wines that capture the silence of the land. Coteaux L'Enclos 2022 is a rare, still white wine made from the forgotten Petit Meslier grape, a varietal cherished by Liébart-Régnier and his associates for its pure, vibrant character. This cuvée fully embodies the concept of “living equilibrium”: biodynamic viticulture, spontaneous fermentation, minimal intervention, and the confidence that nature always knows best.

Sourced from only 8-year-old vines in the lieu-dit L'Enclos, this wine showcases the youthful vigor of its terroir. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented in 100% oak barrels, where they developed their texture and depth. Malolactic fermentation was carried out for softness and roundness, while no cold stabilization or filtration was used to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The wine was aged under cork, which brought out subtle oxidative notes and complexity. Only 320 bottles were produced – a unique expression of Petit Meslier with precision, energy, and exceptional purity.

    Bright golden yellow in color with shimmering reflections. The nose is subtle and refined, with notes of lemon, quince, and white flowers interwoven with nuances of vanilla and almond from the oak aging. The palate is fresh and layered, with vibrant acidity beautifully balanced by creamy textures. Flavors of ripe apple, citrus, and a light spice roll elegantly across the tongue. The finish is long, mineral, and pure. Coteaux L'Enclos 2022 is a wine of quiet refinement, where precision and smoothness go hand in hand.

    Serve between 10 and 12°C.

    The Petit Meslier grapes from the lieu-dit L'Enclos were hand-harvested and gently pressed to avoid oxidation. Fermentation occurred spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in oak barrels, without temperature control. Malolactic fermentation took place entirely to soften the acidity and create a round mouthfeel. No cold stabilization or filtration was used; the wine was left to age on its fine lees for added depth. Maturation took place under natural cork, which favored micro-oxidation and resulted in a nuanced texture.
