Amidst the white chalk hills of Bassuet, where light reflects off the limestone of the Coteaux Vitryats, Laurence and Charles Baffard create vibrant and refined champagnes that follow nature's rhythm. Their domain, Champagne Bolieu, rests on a rare terroir where time is a silent ally. Instant B 2014 is the purest interpretation of their work, a wine in which patience, precision, and terroir converge into crystal-clear harmony.

This cuvée, made from 100% Chardonnay sourced from vines over 40 years old in the Coteaux Vitryats, exemplifies Bolieu's craftsmanship at its peak. The grapes come from southwest-facing plots that benefit from maximum sun exposure and a mineral chalky soil. After gentle pressing of the first fraction (Cuvée A), the wine was entirely vinified in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and focus. Malolactic fermentation was performed to subtly soften the acidity, resulting in a balanced Brut Nature (0 g/L dosage). After extended aging on lees, Instant B 2014 has developed a structure and layering that perfectly combine power and refinement. Only 2,500 bottles were produced.

    Pale golden yellow in color with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose reveals refined aromas of lemon blossom, white peach, and toasted almond, accompanied by notes of chalk and brioche. The palate is intense yet elegant, with vibrant acidity perfectly balanced by creamy depth. Flavors of citrus, green apple, and subtly toasted nuts unfold in layers of freshness and power. The finish is long, mineral, and crystal clear. Instant B 2014 is a champagne of pure precision, rich in texture, flawless in expression, and timeless in character.

    Serve between 10 and 12°C.
    Store in a cool, dark place.
  • Productieproces

    The hand-harvested Chardonnay grapes from 70-year-old vines are pressed immediately upon arrival, using only the juice from the first pressing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the delicate aromatic precision. Malolactic fermentation is carried out entirely, giving the wine softness and balance. Instant B 2014 is aged extensively on the lees, giving the champagne its creamy texture and subtle brioche notes. No sugar is added (dosage 0 g/L), allowing the pure expression of the chalky terroir and the natural freshness to fully unfold.
