A closer look at the glass
What makes this glass different
Each number on the photo matches a point in the list.
-
Narrower towards the rim
The bowl narrows again towards the rim. According to Lehmann, a narrower top like this concentrates the wine's aromas.
-
32 cl champagne glass
Lehmann calls the Absolus 32 a champagne glass. At 32 cl, it sits between the Absolus 22 and the Absolus 38 in the L'Absolue collection.
-
Machine-blown lead-free crystal
The glass is machine-blown from Cristallin, crystal without lead. According to Lehmann, a glass like this lasts a long time and is strong, while coming close to the fineness of Lehmann's mouth-blown glasses.
-
Dishwasher safe
The glass can go in the dishwasher, preferably on a glassware programme. Lehmann does, however, recommend washing it by hand in hot water without detergent.
-
Five stars for sturdiness
On its product page, Lehmann gives this glass five out of five stars for sturdiness, and three for fineness, resonance and transparency.
