In the village of Baslieux-sous-Châtillon, where clay and limestone provide the vines with rich nutrients, Liébart-Régnier cultivates his vineyards with a deep respect for nature. Each plot is considered a living ecosystem, where biodiversity and balance are more important than production. Hortï 2020 reflects this philosophy in a rare blend of Arbane, Petit Meslier, and Pinot Blanc, three almost forgotten grape varieties that together tell a unique story of heritage and terroir.

This cuvée originates from the lieu-dit Hortï, where the 16-year-old vines are deeply rooted in the clay-limestone soils of the Vallée de la Marne. Natural vinification takes place entirely in oak barrels, allowing the wine to develop structure and roundness without losing its freshness. After spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, a full malolactic fermentation follows, followed by light stabilization and filtration to preserve clarity. With a subtle dosage of 3 g/L and cork aging in the bottle, Hortï 2020 unfolds as a harmony of soft oxidative notes, citrus energy, and elegant tension. Only 320 bottles were produced, a rare and vibrant portrait of diversity in its purest form.

    Pale golden yellow in color with a delicate, refined mousse. The nose reveals notes of pear, white flower, and citrus, enriched with nuances of hazelnut, honey, and buttercup. The oak aging lends a subtle creaminess, while the blend of Arbane, Petit Meslier, and Pinot Blanc adds tension, spice, and length. The palate is lively, fresh, and well-balanced, with flavors of yellow fruit, almond, and mineral precision. The finish is clean, elegant, and long. Hortï 2020 is a rare champagne that effortlessly combines power and finesse.

    Serve between 10 and 12°C.

  • Productieproces

    The Arbane, Petit Meslier, and Pinot Blanc grapes from the lieu‑dit Hortï were harvested by hand and gently pressed to preserve their delicate aromas. Natural fermentation took place in 100% oak barrels without the addition of yeasts or enzymes. Malolactic fermentation was carried out entirely to soften the acidity and bring balance. Only light cold stabilization and gentle filtration were applied. The wine was aged under natural cork, where it matured gently on its fine lees, and bottled with a dosage of 3 g/L to emphasize its precision and depth.
