10 tasty and quick snacks to enjoy with Champagne

New Year's Eve is just around the corner; that calls for delicious appetizers and, of course, CHAMPAGNE to toast the new year! But which appetizers should you serve with Champagne? We've selected our favorite quick snacks and appetizers to pair with a glass of bubbly!
1. Oysters
You might have seen this pairing before, but it's truly a perfect match . The salty, oily notes of the oyster enhance the fruitiness of the Champagne and beautifully bring out the minerality. Personally, we often choose Gillardeau or Creuse with a touch of lemon.
2. Cheese sticks
Super simple, yet delicious. Have plenty of time? Make the cheese sticks yourself! Use different cheeses to make the sticks. Think young cheese, goat cheese, or aged cheese. If you don't have time to make cheese sticks yourself, no worries . You can find them in almost any supermarket.
3. Dates with bacon
Sweet and salty in one bite, and delicious with Champagne. If you're short on time, you can prepare this snack in the afternoon and keep it in the refrigerator until ready to bake. Tip: use Medjool dates. These dates are large and soft, delicious with crispy bacon.
4. Toast with smoked salmon
Another super quick snack. All you need is white bread, smoked salmon, and Gravad Lachs sauce. Toast the white bread and cut it diagonally in half. Top with smoked salmon and Gravad Lachs sauce, and you're good to go! Fish and Champagne is a well-known and perfect combination. Not only is smoked salmon delicious, but raw salmon (sashimi!) also goes particularly well with Champagne.

5. Bruschetta with tomato and prosciutto
There are countless variations on bruschetta, but we personally find this one very tasty and easy to make. The ingredients we used: white baguette, olive oil, cherry tomatoes, Serrano ham, and a little salt. Of course, you can choose the type of each ingredient yourself. Brown baguette, plum tomatoes, and Parma ham also make a great combination. Add garlic if you like.
6. Brownie with red fruit sauce
Dark chocolate and red fruit are a beautiful combination on their own, let alone with Champagne. The rich, bitter flavor of dark chocolate combined with the sweetness of red fruit perfectly complements a beautiful rosé Champagne. Tip: make your own red fruit sauce by briefly bringing fresh or frozen fruit to a boil with a dash of sugar until it thickens.

7. Tempura shrimp
You can also make this snack yourself, or buy it ready-made in the store. The crunch and richness of fried food pairs well with the freshness of Champagne. Recently, we tried crispy shrimp from the air fryer. Delicious! Incidentally, bitterballen (bitterballen), croquettes, calamari, and fried chicken also taste great with a glass of bubbly.
8. Strawberries
No words needed! You can't go wrong with strawberries and Champagne!
9. Brie with fig jam
The creaminess of the brie combined with a hint of sweetness from the fig jam makes this a snack that pairs perfectly with a brut Champagne. Instead of fig jam, you can also use fig bread.
10. Tuna tataki
A classic pairing with Champagne: tuna. Tuna tataki is briefly fried or broiled and coated with sesame seeds. Tataki is often seasoned with a mix of Asian ingredients and sauces, such as ginger and soy sauce. For a festive look, serve the tuna tataki cubed on a stick!
