Champagne Henry de Vaugency

Chardonnay from the heart of the Côte des Blancs

Since 1732, Champagne Henry de Vaugency has been producing exquisite Champagnes from Oger, the heart of the Côte des Blancs. The winemaking tradition has been passed down from father to son, and the eighth generation is currently at the helm.

Champagne Henry de Vaugency produces only Champagnes made from Chardonnay. Moreover, all the grapes come from Oger, a Grand Cru commune. For this reason, the Champagnes are classified as Grand Cru.

Champagne William Saintot

Independent winegrower & Pinot Noir expert

Champagne William Saintot has been practising winemaking with pride and passion for five generations. It is an independent estate located in Avenay Val d'Or, in the Marne Valley. The Saintot family has been involved in winemaking since 1918 and began its own winemaking tradition over 60 years ago in the iconic house, La Roseraie (Rose Garden). Their passion for winemaking and vinification has been passed down through generations. Each family member contributes their own unique insights and expertise to further develop the estate and its Champagnes.

Currently, the affable grandson is at the helm and is a true Pinot Noir expert. He has over 10 hectares of vineyards at his disposal and experiments with various production techniques, such as vinification in new oak and Qvevri (amphora) barrels from Georgia, the exclusion of malolactic fermentation, and extra-long maceration with intact grapes. He also places greater emphasis on the expression of terroir and grape varieties in Champagne, often resulting in exceptional cuvées parcellaires and micro-cuvées.

Champagne William Saintot is a member of the Vignerons Indépendant (independent winegrowers) and holds several environmental certifications. The estate is currently in the process of becoming an officially certified organic winegrower.
